  • WOMEN'S CHAOS CUP 2020

    GAME RULES

    Saturday March 7th / Sunday 8th 2020
    Venue: IYU Reserve
    35 Henry Rd Pakenham

    FORMAT:
    8 teams (2 x Groups of 4)
    2 x 20 minute halves with 5 minute half-time break in all games including semi-final and grand final. There will be no added time during the preliminary games. The referee may add time at his discretion for the semi-final and grand final.
    Top 2 teams from each group advance to semi-finals. If more than 1 team finish on the same amount of points, Or a team forfeits from the competition the winner shall be decided by:
    1. Superior goal difference. if the same then;
    2. Superior goals scored, if the same then;
    3. Head-to-head, (meaning the team who has the best record against each other advances to the semi final), if teams drew in the group stage then;
    4. Sudden death penalty shoot out
     
    The winner of each group shall play the runner-up of the opposite group in the semi-final to decide the finalists.

    - The Semi-final will be played over the same format as the initial group games (2 x 20 minute halves with a 5 minute break) If the teams are tied after full time the winner will be decided by penalty shoot-out (best of 5, then sudden death)
    - The Grand-final will be played over the same format as the initial group games (2 x 20 minute halves with a 5 minute break) If the teams are tied after full time the winner will be decided by penalty shoot-out (best of 5, then sudden death)
    - Group games will play simultaneously on Pitch 1 & 2 with a minimum 20 minute break between games
    - The first group game shall begin at 930am with the final to kick-off at approximately 5:20pm.


    STRIPS:
    Please bring an alternative strip to avoid any kit clashes.

    POINTS SYSTEM:
    3 points will be awarded for a win
    1 point for a draw
    0 point for a loss


    MATCH RULES:
    All games will be played to FIFA's official Laws of the Game. The referee's decision shall be final.
    The tournament committee will preside over all issues resulting from on-field incidents. This committee shall have the final say in any disciplinary actions to be undertaken.
    The Tournament Committee will resolve any matter not covered by these rules, which give rise to discussion or appeal. This committee reserves the right to vary any of the rules, or make changes that they feel are necessary, if they consider these changes to be in the best interests of the tournament.


    SUBSTITUTIONS:
    The interchange rule applies. Players can be substituted at the half-way line during stoppages.


    TEAM SHEETS:
    Teams will be provided with a team sheet. All teams may name a maximum of 20 players. This sheet must be handed to the organisers by no later than 1hr before your 1st game. You may not add any players to the list after it has been submitted. Shirt numbers must coincide with the player names as shown on the team sheet.


    DISCIPLINE:
    Any player who receives a straight red card shall be suspended for the rest of the tournament.
    Any player who receives 2 yellow cards in a game shall be suspended for his club's next scheduled game. *
    Any player who accrues 3 yellow cards during the tournament shall be suspended for their club's next scheduled game. *
    *In the event of a bye, the suspended player shall miss the game scheduled after the bye.


    INSURANCE & LIABILITY:
    Pakenham United FC shall claim no liability for any injuries to any persons competing in the "Football Chaos Cup" All persons involved should have their own insurance and ambulance cover. The tournament committee will do everything in their power to make sure that the tournament is safe for all participants and spectators, but disclaim any liability for any injuries that may occur throughout the course of the tournament. Pakenham United FC offers nothing in the form of insurance and players must be made aware that they play at their own risk.

    FIRST AID:
    Clubs must be aware that they are responsible for their own teams first aid service and equipment. A stretcher will be available under the veranda of the main pavilion, and water provided at designated points. But ice-packs, bandages, strapping tape, etc must be provided by the individual player/clubs.


    FOOD & DRINKS:
    Canteen and Bar facilities are provided, these will be operating throughout the day. Strictly NO BYO as we are a licensed premises.

    MARSHALLS:
    All clubs shall provide 2 Marshall's throughout the day. These persons should be identified to organiser and referee's and shall be visible by wearing of approved apparel. They shall be responsible for the conduct of their clubs players and supporters. Failure to do so could result in a club being expelled from Competition.
     
    TROPHIES:
    Competition winner and runner-up will receive a cup/shield, to be presented after the Grand Final. A selection panel will vote for the best player in the grand final with the winner receiving a medallion as the best on ground.
    - A clubs participation in the Football Chaos Cup is deemed an acceptance of all the above rules and stipulations.
    - The Football Chaos Cup is a friendly tournament and should be played in this spirit.
    - A free BBQ will be provided after the grand final and all participants and spectators are invited back to the social rooms for the competition presentation.
